The reason being that when you turn, the outer wheel freewheels faster (not a problem) and the inner wheel is locked to the carrier (problem). any draw backs to an auto locker . The air locker and e-lockers don't have this problem as they are totaly disengaged until you flick the lever so the factory open diff function is not altered while driving in 2WD.
